Heretic: A Pox Scarred Squalor story

Character and Setting Creation - Meet our three doomed scum. Urvarg (but not Urvarg, do you understand?), Theras the Fanged Deserter who has known only pain his life, and Belum the Heritic who doesn't believe in this whole prophecy thing. They all made their way to Galgenbeck, the greatest city that ever was and ever will be. But will Galgenbeck chew them up and spit them out? Probably.

Urvarg (but not Urvarg) - Follow Uvarg as he enters the greatest city that ever was, looking for coin and a game of dice. What desperate mission will he find?

Theras the Deserter - Follow Theras as he joins up with Urvarg and Belum as they dive deep into Galgenbeck on the behest of the Church of Nechrubel to kill a man. What will they find deep in the city?

Berun the Heretic - Follow Berun as they complete this mission for the Church of Nchrubel. But what does this motley crew do with their newfound wealth? We must play to find out.

Pox Scarred Squalor

Chapter 1: The Gospel According to the Streets - Look upon this pathetic world, and look upon the streets and sad people of the Pox Scarred Squalor. Finally, look upon our 'not-hero' Svum the Scum. This tale is about greed, death and living to the next day.

Chapter 2: The Lamentations of the Alleyway - Desperation, money, and fear. These are the things that motivate our 'not-hero' Svum on his quest. Maybe he will live for a few more nights, worth it if he lives like a king? But he has to make it through the alleyways first.

Chapter 3: The Proverb of Suffering - What is pain, but weakness leaving your body? That's a damn lie. Pain is pain, suffering is suffering and in the Pox Scarred Squalor, there is a surplus of both. In this chapter, our 'not-hero' Svum meets pain and suffering, some voluntary, some not.

Chapter 4: The Scripture of Rot Flesh - Our 'not-hero' Svum is so close to his goal now, he can taste it. But in the Squalor there is always something awful behind the door you need to go through. What is behind the door Svum goes through?

Chapter 5: The Sacrifice of the Many - Escaping from the tavern, our 'not-hero' Svum runs. He hopes and prays he has what he was sent to steal, but he can't know until he checks. Meanwhile, the world edges closer to its depressed and expected end.
