Solo Not Alone 3 Bundle Highlights

105 Games incredible solo games for $10? And you get to help an amazing charity? That is the Solo Not Alone bundle, an annual offering on Itch, now in its third year. By buying the bundle you will support the charity called Jasper’s Game Day

Great games, great price and a great cause.

It’s the mission of Jasper’s Game Day to raise funds for suicide prevention and awareness. They combine the fun of TTRPGs with the quest toward suicide awareness and prevention. A great organisation doing great work. Read more about them here. https://jaspersgameday.com/

Now I’d love to talk about every game in the bundle isn’t possible with so many. So instead I’ve gone through the list and found a bunch that looks fun or interesting and I’ll talk about those a bit. If ANY of these games sound cool, get the bundle and support Jasper’s Game Day.

Note I’m not associated with the creators of these games and I haven’t had a chance to play these games yet, except the last game on the list (because I wrote that one).

Single Samurai by Hypnos

This journaling game is heavily inspired by the iconic movie Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa. In this game, you play a wandering Ronin who comes upon a village. You soon discover that the village is in peril and will soon be attached. Instead of moving on, you spend a few weeks in the village to train the villagers and prepare defenses.

To play you just need a bunch of D10s and something to journal on such as a notebook or a computer.

The art looks great, most likely public domain historic art. I hope to find time for this game soon!

Untitled Moth Game by S. Kaiya J.

Be a moth and flutter through the village and the castle in this amazing solo game built using both the Breathless and Carta SRDs.

This game is truly beautiful. The story you will build, the art in the book itself, and the way the gameplay and the story work together. Definitely worth a play.

To play Untitled Moth Game you’ll need a tarokka Deck (or a tarot deck or a regular deck of playing cards), a set of dice, a coin, tokens, a figurine, a notebook, a large surface to play on, and a candle (optional, be careful).

Hero Be Damned by Mitchell Daily, Art by Diana Blackstone

The Chronicler has seen the future and told you a Great Evil is coming to this land. You are the one to stop it but you are not yet strong enough to do so. But in gaining the information, wealth, charms, and weapons you need to defeat this evil, you will be branded a scavenger, a thief, a desecrator, and a plunderer.

Even if you defeat the Great Evil, you will still need to clean your hands.

Hero Be Damned is two page journaling RPG that takes a different look at what a heroic tale could be. To play you’ll just need a D4 and something to journal with.

The Mansion Incident by Travis Brightfield

Play a badass member of an elite team as you try to survive zombies and other horrors in an isolated mansion. You’ll slowly move from room to room, knowing that your nemesis is right behind you and being unable to get ahead of it. But maybe, just maybe, you’ll survive long enough to get some backup.

The Mansion Incident is a pretty cool-looking zombie survival game. You actually build the mansion as you go, using a deck of cards to tell what is in the next room. It looks like a blast.

For this game, you need a D6, a deck of playing cards, a journaling method, some markers for health, and other things, and a bit of room to spread things out on.

Wendigo Published by Amalara Game Studio, Written by David Garrett

The beautiful peace of being outdoors by yourself. You haven’t seen another person for half a day and the tranquillity has you completely relaxed. Then something starts stalking you. You must run and run fast.

Wendigo is a stunning journaling game with a bit of a hex crawl in it. You’ll need something to journal with, and a handful of D6s.

The whole point of Wendigo is to get through a now hostile wilderness to safety before the horror gets you. Good luck.

Thousand Empty Light by Alfred Valley

Depths Kill. Centre Yourself.

Thousand Empty Light is a solo adventure meant to be used with the Mothership RPG. The game is written as if it were a corporate brochure, which is really cool. The art design is great, it has that photocopied a few times feel to it.

If I hadn’t just come off a long sci-fi survival horror campaign with Seclusion, I would totally jump on this game.

To run the game you’ll need a copy of the Mothership RPG and whatever materials that game requires.

I Come From a Land Down Under By Croaker RPGs

Yes! This is my game and of course, I need to list it. Haha!

I Come From The Land Down Under is a solo journaling game of desperate survival in a cruel post-apocalyptic Australia. You’ll walk the hippie trail and try to survive a desolate landscape filled with raiders, zombies, and untrustworthy people.

You just need a D20, a coin to flip, and something to journal with.

---

That's it. But there are so many other cool solo games in there that I just couldn't highlight. Be sure to buy the bundle and have a great time. You have until the end of March 2023 to buy it. Don't let it slip by!

Thanks for reading!
